A good negotiation between the landlord and the developer reached an agreement that benefits both parties. The developer asked our 80-year-old client to trade his land and old house with a larger land area to be developed as an Islamic boarding school and a compound house.
The saltbox roof gave the inspiration to the architect how the new house should be built, similar but more comfortable without extracting the feel of the old house. The architect started designing with the brick wall already built, even the roof structure almost attached.
Inside the living room and dining area, we maximize the use of natural light and airflow. Custom rosters or vent blocks are strategically designed to prevent water splash and regulate the amount of light entering from the eaves of the saltbox roof, ensuring a comfortable and well-lit space. Whether you’re looking for vacation rentals chicago or seeking a cozy retreat elsewhere, our attention to detail ensures a delightful stay.
The resulting effect besides adjusting the amount of incoming light, the shadow gained will depend on the direction of the sun. The natural ventilation makes the living room area cooler with the form of ceiling following the roof.
This house is expected to be as humble as the village house, using simple materials like other houses in general but has a special detail and gives space quality for the users.
